Kenya Camp Meeting Report
In August 24-30, 2014 we conducted the historic camp meeting for the deaf in Kenya. It was attended by 226 deaf, their leaders and interpreters. On Sabbath we baptized 43 and 99 graduated in the VOP Discover Bible School. Topics handled included Family life, Health, Adventist church structure, Stewardship, Prophecy, Bible study, and reports of deaf work in other parts of the world by Maren from German and her sister. Most of the topics were handled by the deaf who are studying theology in our university. Pr. E. Musoni ECD Special Needs Ministries director was our guest speaker. The deaf also had time to sing in sign language, share their experiences and challenges and to pray and play together. On Friday we took them to tour the city climaxing at the Nairobi Animal orphanage. Many testified that they were blessed and look forward to other joint meetings in the future.

In addition to this report, Elder John Blake, Gospel Outreach Deaf Ministry Department, said that…
"Much of this progress has been accomplished through the work of the 8 Gospel Outreach Lay Bible workers with Henry Kamau as the lead worker. Elder Paul Muasya - at the Union level - has been so supportive and is doing so much to help the work. If it were not for the two of them, this ministry would not be where it is today! The Division is also very supportive, too!"
